South Pasadena Young Life

In Young Life, we give kids the first word. We go into their lives with open ears and listen. We know that kids don’t care what we know till they know how much we care. In Young Life, we call that earning the right to be heard.

It’s not hard to pick up what kids are saying. They want to be respected and feel safe. They want to live life abundantly — and that means having massive doses of fun, but it also means discovering who they are and what they were made for. So, in Young Life we invite kids into respectful relationships and into more fun and adventure (at club and camp, for example) than they can imagine.

Young Life club meets Tuesday nights.  We meet from 7:27-9:00pm.  It's an amazing time of games and community.  To find out more about Young Life in South Pasadena or to be added to our email list contact Dave Avramovich.

What is WyldLife?
The philosophy of WyldLife is the same as Young Life's has always been — introducing adolescents to Jesus Christ and helping them to grow in their faith. But, because middle school kids are at a different developmental stage than high schoolers and need different things, we make a subtle delineation between the two.

WyldLife Leaders
WyldLife leaders include high school students who are strong in their faith, college students, moms and dads and retirees. Some of the best WyldLife teams across the mission are those with a mix of leaders, because every age group has something to offer middle school kids. All volunteers are trained and supervised by staff members.

WyldLife Camping
WyldLife camp caters to the middle school-aged kid. While the same in principle and excellence, the specifics and schedule of middle school Young Life camping takes on a different form since early adolescents are at different places developmentally. From the talks each night to the pace of the day’s activities, Christ is proclaimed through relationships and programs in a way that connects to the heart of these kids.  For more information on camp visit the camp trips tab on the left.

Funding
Young Life is mainly funded by contributions from parents and other adults in each community. In addition, many churches and kid-friendly businesses support WyldLife.  If you would like to support Wyldlife in South Pasadena, visit the giving to Young Life tab on the left.
